Austrian Grand Prix Preview
It may feel like an eternity since the beginning of the season was put on hold way back in March, but this week marks the beginning of the 2020 F1 season as teams and drivers gear up for the Austrian Grand Prix on July 5th.
While the season was supposed to have begun on March 15th in Australia, of course the global outbreak of the coronavirus cancelled that swiftly. So here we are with a European leg of eight races scheduled to be held through to the beginning of September.
Yes, things will kick off at Red Bull Ring this weekend which will be great news for Red Bull's very own Max Verstappen.
The young Dutchman has won back-to-back grands prix here after beating Ferrari's Charles Leclerc by over 2.7 seconds in 2019 and Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen by over 1.5 seconds in 2018.
Considering the first two races of the season are going to be held here, Verstappen and the entire Red Bull team will be looking forward to getting out to a great start with a possible pair of checkered flags.
