Blackhawks Look to Finish Lightning

The Chicago Blackhawks take a 3-2 series lead home for game 6 where they look to become to the 2015 Stanley Cup champion. After being down 2-1 in the series they bounced back with two impressive wins. Their defense and goaltending have been the different as they have held the Lightning to just one goal in each of the past two games. They find themselves in a familiar position and a win tonight could add their legacy as being in the midst of a NHL dynasty.

The Blackhawks have been in plenty of games of this magnitude, which is where they hold the edge over the Lightning. 18 times they have been in a series that reached games 5, 6, and 7, and in 17 of those 18 games they have come out victorious. That is a staggering number and it goes to show you they do not get shaken by the moment. For the Lightning, this is new territory. Although, the moment does not seem too big for them either, they have just simply been coming up a little short. After scoring 4 and 3 goals in back to back games they have failed to surpass one goal in each of the last two games. Their defense and goaltending has been steady, but the must put the puck in the net.

The Lightning are a great team in their own right but they may be a year or two away from capturing a title. If history has shown us anything it is that Chicago always comes through in these moments.
