Rangers v Kings Game 5 - NHL Betting Preview

The Rangers held off an elimination at home to force at least one more game. They head back west to Los Angeles for Game 5 on Friday night.
The Kings will have a chance to get crowned in front of their home crowd and are currently -165 favorites on the opening money line to do so.
If the Rangers want to survive to play another game in New York, there is no doubt they will need another huge game from Henrik Lundqvist. His 40 saves in Game 4 had the Madison Square Garden fans chanting his name. Lundqvist and the Rangers continued their knack of extending their seasons. New York is 11-2 in the past 13 games when facing elimination.
Lundqvist has been the man in goal during those 13 elimination games and realizes how important his role is. "When everything is on the line, you just have to challenge yourself the right way," Lundqvist said. "You have to be focused. One mistake and the season is over. You're definitely aware of that."
Lady luck was finally on the Rangers side as well in Game 4. In the previous three games they were not getting any breaks. Winning Game 5 in L.A. on Friday will be a tough one but maybe the Rangers good fortune is back.
Three NHL teams have overcome a 3-0 Finals deficit to win the Stanley Cup. Picking the Rangers would be a bold move but quite rewarding at +850 to lift the Cup.
