Predators vs Rangers NHL Odds

Nashville Predators (+107) at New York Rangers (-118)

This matchup between the Nashville Predators and New York Rangers features two teams that have been headed in different directions as of late. The Predators look to halt their downward skid and the Rangers try to remain one of the hottest teams in the NHL when they meet at 7:00pm ET on Monday night.

This is the second and final meeting this regular season between the two teams. The Predators got the best of the Rangers by a score of 3-2 a little less than a month ago on February 7th in Nashville.

What to watch from the Nashville Predators (41-15-7, 89 points)

Although Nashville leads the NHL with 89 points, they are losing their grip on first place in the Western Conference’s Central Division. After going 2-3-1 in their last six-games, including two very uncharacteristic back-to-back losses at home in their last two games, their lead over the St. Louis Blues has shrunk to four-points. Concerns have been raised in Nashville after the NHL’s best home team (26-5-1) lost two in a row on their home ice for the first time this season. They limp into New York after loses to the Minnesota Wild and Detroit Red Wings, last Thursday and Saturday respectively.

What to watch from the New York Rangers (38-17-6, 82 points)

The Rangers have been on a hot streak, going 8-1-1 in their last ten-games. They currently find themselves only two-points behind the Metropolitan Division leading New York Islanders, along with three games at hand. Thier 4-2 loss at the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday marked the first time in 11-games that they were held without a point.

All-Star defenseman Keith Yandle is scheduled to make his first appearance as a Blue Shirt after the Rangers acquired him in a trade from the Arizona Coyotes on Sunday.

NHL Picks: Rangers

The Rangers will make Yandle’s debut a successful one and keep the Rangers skating towards the top of the standings. He is one of the highest scoring defensemen over the past few years and he will have a big impact in New York on Monday night against the Predators and continuing throughout the Rangers’ playoff push.
