They had a two-man advantage in the second period when the score was tied at zero and the Devils had every chance to pounce on the Kings, but they failed to score there and that seemed to take something out of New Jersey’s sails. Now, they’ll attempt to become the first team since the 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs to come back from an 0-3 deficit in the Stanley Cup finals.

Los Angeles should be the favorites at home on Wednesday night, and while the Kings have been lauded for their play on the road, they never really played the same kind of game at the Staples Center and they didn’t even look like they were going to in Game 3 until the second half of the game. The Devils simply have to score the first goal and get some momentum because the Staples Center will be rocking and if they allow the Kings to get up on them, it could get ugly.
