Blackhawks v Kings Game 4 – NHL Betting Preview

The Kings are going for their third straight win over the Blackhawks on Monday night. It presents a huge opportunity at home for them to take a commanding 3-1 series lead.
Los Angeles looks focused to get to the Stanley Cup Finals. They possess the best playoff stats this year in goals (56), averaging 3.29 per game. Their second line, nicknamed "That 70s Line," because right wing Tyler Toffoli, center Jeff Carter and left wing Tanner Pearson all wear numbers in the 70s, is leading the way in this Western Conference Finals. The trio has scored five goals against the Hawks, two of them which were huge in getting the Kings the Game 3 win.
"That whole line has created a lot for the momentum of our hockey team throughout games," center Mike Richards said. "It seems whenever the other team's starting to create momentum or has momentum, they step up in a big way. Those three, they don't need much room. They just seem to find the areas. They're all natural goal-scorers, and especially Jeff is just a natural goal-scorer. He doesn't need much room and chances to add to the list."
While the Kings have a whole line coming up big, the Blackhawks currently have only one player on their hot list. Captain Jonathan Toews has a team best eight playoffs goals. Toews will need some more support if Chicago is to even this series up on the road. It would be a good start to make improvements on power play opportunities. The team has struggled in this category on the road, especially in Game 3, going 0-for-4.
The Blackhawks have a good track record of coming back but Toews needs help. Patrick Kane, Patrick Sharp and Marian Hossa have only one goal and four points combined in the series so far. A breakout game by one or more of these players mentioned can lead the slightly underdog Blackhawks (+118) to a win over the Kings (-130).
