NFL Preseason Week 3 Preview
The third week of the NFL's preseason is used a real measuring stick for teams, as they allow their starters to play an extended amount of time for the first time since last season in hopes of finding out what they have and where they need to improve. 1. New England Patriots vs. Carolina Panthers
There are a ton of questions heading into this game, many of which involve the quarterback position for both teams. There is no reason for Cam Newton to play even one down in the preseason, so he won't get any playing time, right? On the other side, the Patriots are still looking to get Jimmy Garoppolo some game action in hopes of having him ready to fill Tom Brady's spot for the first four games of this season. Can they get him where he needs to be in time? This game will be an interesting one.
2. Green Bay Packers vs. San Francisco 49ers
Chip Kelly is still working on figuring out his quarterback situation heading into this season, and this game will be a huge litmus test against a Packers team that should be one of the best in the NFL this season. Both Blaine Gabbert and Colin Kaepernick will get snaps in this game with a chance to prove that they are the better option at their position, while the Packers have their hierarchy at quarterback figured out for the foreseeable future with Aaron Rodgers, whose impact on live betting over/under odds is palpable with his ability to lead his team to score in bunches.
3. Arizona Cardinals vs. Houston Texans
Arizona was one of the best teams in the NFL last year, making it to the NFC Championship Game before falling to the mighty Carolina Panthers.
